Breakdown: Corona del Mar, ranked No. 6 in the CIF Southern Section Division 4 poll, earned its first win of the year last week, beating host Los Gatos, 31-13 … El Toro has lost its first two games, at 2015 Southwest Division champion La Habra, 42-34, and at Chula Vista Eastlake, 41-21 … Sea Kings are calling Jim Scott Stadium home for the second straight year with Newport Harbor’s Davidson Field undergoing renovations … Chargers defeated CdM, 13-7, last year … Garbers, a Cal commit, didn’t throw a touchdown last week, marking the first time that has happened since CdM’s Pacific Coast League opener against Woodbridge on Oct. 9, 2015 … El Toro is trying to avoid its first 0-3 start in eight years.
