OCC men’s basketball team falls to Palomar

Palomar 86, Orange Coast 76

Jamaal Lee scored 29 points and grabbed 14 rebounds for the Pirates in the nonconference game on Wednesday.

Josh Mendoza scored 14 points, Ibrahim Gerlach added 11 points and Anthony Murdica had 10 points for OCC (1-3).

Ryan Schaefer led Palomar (1-3) with 23 points.

OCC trailed by 19 at the half and managed to get to within four with three minutes left (73-69), but the Comets made their free throws down the stretch and held on for the win.
