RENO — Andee Ritter had 23 points and eight steals to help lead the visiting Anteaters to their first win of the season in a nonconference game Thursday.

Shareen Sutherland had 18 points and nine rebounds and Irene Chavez added 16 points and nine assists for UCI (1-6).

UCI posted a 19-6 advantage in turnovers to overcome a 40-27 rebounding deficit. UCI had a 26-4 edge in points off turnovers.

Nevada fell to 4-3.
