CYPRESS — Finley Garnett had 22 points and 14 rebounds for the Eagles in Saturday’s Oxford Academy tournament consolation game.

Maya Van Den Heever had 21 points and 18 assists for Estancia (3-1), and Maddy Letterman scored 10.

Sam Wagner earned all-tournament team honors.

The Eagles open play at the Orange tournament against Tustin on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.

CYPRESS — Sophomore Kenna Knollenberg recorded 22 points and three three-pointers, helping the Lightning to a third-place finish in the consolation bracket of the Oxford tournament on Saturday.

Heather Park finished with 12 points for Sage Hill (2-2).

Sage Hill plays at Saddleback Valley Christian on Monday at 6 p.m.

Newport Harbor 8 (OT)

Josie Miller scored three goals for the Sailors in their nonleague season opener Saturday at Newport Harbor High.

Quincy Morgan scored twice and Sammie Garcia, Annie Rankin and Kaela Whelan also scored. Maddy Kanzler made 13 saves for the Sailors, who couldn’t hold a 7-3 lead after three quarters.

Newport Harbor, ranked No. 8 in CIF Southern Section Division 1, plays host to Long Beach Wilson on Thursday. Wilson is ranked No. 9 in Division 2.

BOYS’ SOCCER

RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA — Will O’Connor scored a goal for the Sea Kings during Friday’s nonleague match on the road.

Goalkeepers Koen Ebbinga and Christopher Bartolic recorded the shutout.

Spencer Lamoure had an assist for CdM (2-0).

The Sea Kings play at Canyon on Monday at 3 p.m.

Adan Rodriguez’s goal in the 70th minute helped the Eagles tie the nonleague match at home on Friday.

Kevin Pizarro assisted on the goal for Estancia (1-0-1).

Goalkeeper Jonathan Lopez made two saves.

The Eagles travel to Villa Park on Monday for a 7 p.m. match.
