Freshman Jenna Rodriguez had 18 points and 10 rebounds to lead the host Pirates in the semifinals of the Erin Tomlinson Coast Christmas Classic on Friday.

The win propels OCC (7-5) into Saturday’s title game against Palomar at 5:30 p.m.

Chyann Pendergrass had nine assists and seven points for the winners, for whom Sarah Nunes chipped in 13 points and six rebounds off the bench.

Saddleback, an Orange Empire Conference rival, is 5-7.

Mid America 69, Vanguard 58

Samantha Doucette scored 19 points to lead the Lions in the nonconference game on Friday.

Maya Kennedy added 12 points for Vanguard (4-2).

Mid America is 7-2.
