Newport Lightning 13U Black and 13U Green win SoCal Championships

The Newport Lightning 13U Black and 13U Green teams both won the recent SoCal Championships in South Orange County by going undefeated 8-0 in the tournament.

The 13U Black team comprised of Tyler Li, Vanis Buckholz, Asher Hamilton, Tommy Griffin, Luke Barnes, Hunter Schimmelpfennig, Adam Garza, Austin Clark and Mikey Wein won by an average of 24 points in the gold bracket. Jeff Hamilton coached the team.

The 13U Green team composed of 12U players Ryder Brooks, Roddie Anderson, Jordan Stucki and Sanjay Tewari along with Jack Johnston, Jon Siegel, Mitchell Frye, Zach Mullhofer and Brenden Morris won by an average of 16 points in the silver bracket. Scott Stucki coached the team.
