CdM boys’ soccer takes third in South Orange County Classic

MISSION VIEJO — Juniors Grant Joyce and Will O’Connor scored for the Sea Kings to earn third place in the South Orange County Classic on Wednesday.

Sophomore Kyle Mabwa assisted on Joyce’s goal, while Brett Wirta assisted O’Connor’s goal. Both goals came in the first half.

Senior goalkeeper Koen Ebbinga made five saves in his shutout.

CdM (7-2-1) opens Pacific Coast League play Jan. 7 at home against Woodbridge.
