Corona del Mar High senior outside hitter Sam Kobrine earned the Pacific Coast League MVP award in boys’ volleyball for lifting the Sea Kings to their 14th consecutive league title, a second straight CIF Southern Section Division 1 runner-up finish and a third straight CIF Southern California Regional finals appearance.

The UCLA-bound Kobrine highlights one of four Sea Kings on the first team. The others are senior Matt Ctvrtlik, senior middle blocker Will Hunter and junior middle blocker Mitch Haly.

The foursome helped the Sea Kings (29-7, 10-0 in league) complete their 10th straight undefeated league season with Coach Steve Conti at the helm. The Sea Kings have won 96 straight matches in league, tying the third-longest league winning streak in section history.
