Catherine Kiani went undefeated at No. 1 singles for the Lightning in the nonleague match on Thursday.

Sage Hill improved to 3-0.

The Lightning defeated Mater Dei, 10-8, on Wednesday. Maya Byrd and Isabella Deckey earned the deciding match in doubles.

Sage Hill beat Santa Margarita, 12-6, on Tuesday. Stephanie Beder and Nicole Condas went undefeated in three doubles matches.

GIRLS’ VOLLEYBALL

Marymount def. Corona del Mar

Ashley Humphreys had 17 kills, 25 assists and 10 digs for the Sea Kings, but Marymount won the season-opener, 22-25, 25-19, 25-16, 24-26, 15-13 on Thursday.

Alexa Bonanno (12 kills, 28 assists, 11 digs), Alex Osterberg (nine kills, 11 digs), Christina Davenport (seven kills), Blair Hodges (six kills) and Jo Won (24 digs) also contributed for CdM (0-1).
