High School Roundup: Fisher scores 11 goals in CMHS win

Caedmon Fisher scored 11 goals for the Mustangs in Thursday’s nonleague game at Costa Mesa High.

Augie Cunningham added three goals for the Mustangs (2-1), and Jacob Petersen scored twice. Jake Fleener and Teak Zachary also scored for Costa Mesa.

Kevin Johnson (six saves) and Tristan Trepas (seven saves) split time at goalie for the Mustangs, who play host to Sage Hill on Tuesday.

Lake Elsinore Lakeside 8, Estancia 7

Cobi White, Parker Ohland and Jason Chesemore each scored twice for the Eagles in Thursday’s nonleague game at Estancia High.

Chris Bauer added one goal for Estancia.

GARDEN GROVE — Courtney Moore had 14 kills to lead the Mustangs to a 25-17, 25-15, 25-20 nonleague win on Thursday.

Felicia Crenshaw added 11 kills and Makena Seal 16 assists for Costa Mesa (5-5).

Freshman starting setter Malia Tufuga suffered an ankle injury in the second set, but should be OK, Costa Mesa Coach Todd Hanson said.

Nicole Nesbitt shot four-over-par 40 for the Sailors in the Sunset League match at Old Ranch Country Club.
