IRVINE — Corona del Mar’s 81-match winning streak in the Pacific Coast League ended at Woodbridge, which won, 25-16, 25-19, 23-25, 25-21, on Tuesday.

The Sea Kings last suffered a league setback at Beckman on Oct. 21, 2008,

Kendall Kipp led CdM (13-9, 7-1 in league) with 14 kills.

CdM’s Brooke Cuthbertson finished with nine kills, and Ashley Humphreys added seven kills.

Edison def. Newport Harbor

Claire Covina had seven kills for the Sailors, but the Chargers won the Sunset League match, 25-9, 25-18, 25-16 on Tuesday.

Callie Govaars (six kills), Jasmine Amori (five kills), Alyssa Sukow (18 assists) and Blair Cunningham had (nine digs) also contributed for Newport Harbor (4-10, 2-6 in league).

BOYS’ WATER POLO

Corona del Mar 14, Woodbridge 8

IRVINE — Henry Wilde and Will Ueberroth each scored three goals for the Sea Kings in Tuesday’s Pacific Coast League match at Woodbridge High.

Will Klein and Will Rodosky both scored twice for CdM (13-4, 6-0 in league), while Tamir Avital, Hayden Roletter, Cole Strohson and Tanner Pulice also scored.

CdM, ranked No. 5 in CIF Southern Section Division 1, plays host to Beckman on Thursday.
