Breakdown: Both Newport Harbor and Fountain Valley will be trying to bounce back from an opening loss in the Sunset League ... The Sailors were routed by defending champion Edison, 48-7, while Fountain Valley lost to Huntington Beach, 23-6 ... Fountain Valley finished second in the league last year, while Newport Harbor was fourth ... Well-traveled Barons first-year head coach Jimmy Nolan has also had head coaching gigs at Laguna Beach, Cantwell Sacred Heart of Montebello, Compton Centennial, Carson and most recently Lakewood ... Fountain Valley has not scored more than 13 points in any of its five losses ... Newport Harbor has lost four straight games, and all four setbacks have come to teams ranked in their respective CIF Southern Section divisions ...
