Second sobriety checkpoint this month yields single DUI arrest
Ten arrests were made during a sobriety checkpoint in Glendale over the weekend, police said.
From 6 p.m. Saturday through 2 a.m. on Sunday, 1,742 vehicles passed through the checkpoint at the intersection of Los Feliz Road and Gardena Avenue, said Glendale Police Sgt. Harout Bouzikian.
Twenty-one field sobriety tests were administered, and only one alleged drunk driver was arrested, Bouzikian said.
Nine people were taken into custody for driving without a license, while one was cited for being behind the wheel with a suspended license, Bouzikian said.
In addition, four motorists were cited for moving violations, he said.
Another sobriety checkpoint earlier this month also netted one drunk-driving arrest.
