Local artists express their views on public art at “Outside Art: Who’s

Looking In?” at 2 p.m. at The Autry Museum, 4700 Western Heritage Way in

Los Angeles. Issues of political protest, community celebration and

social satire will be discussed. Muralist Luis Becerra, graffiti artist

Chaz Bojorquez and poster artist Robbie Conal are the panelists.

The opening reception of the exhibit “Oppositions on a Common Road”

Mountain St. Kristan Marvell presents monumental sculptures in bronze and

his wife, Nicholette Kominos, has created small mixed-media pieces. The

Music Director Jeffrey Kahane and the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra

A “Concert Conversation” with Dr. Alan Chapman takes place at 7 p.m.

Stravinsky’s “Danses concertantes” and Strauss’ “Le Bourgeois

Low-cost dog and cat vaccinations will be given at two La Crescenta

locations. The first will be from 10 a.m. to noon at Two Strike Park,

People unable to exercise due to pain and stiffness can participate in

an independent pool exercise program offered every week at Glendale

Adventist Medical Center, 1509 Wilson Terrace. Pool sessions are held

from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. and 12:15 to 1:15 p.m. Monday through

Friday. Extra sessions will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday and

Thursday. New participants require a doctor’s prescription and a minimum

of one session with a physical therapist at a cost of $50. The pool
