GLENDALE -- The International House of Pancakes is moving to a new
home.
IHOP Corp., which runs the national restaurant chain, is preparing to
move its headquarters from 450 N. Brand Blvd. to 525 N. Brand Blvd.
“We’ve run out of space,” said Pamela Zimmerman, director of the
property management administration for IHOP.
At the new location, IHOP will take up three floors and
68,000-square-feet, more than twice its current space, she said.
The additional room will allow the company to move its research and
development division and test kitchen from Sylmar to Glendale.
Zimmerman said IHOP is spending $2.5 million to prepare its new
headquarters, which the company hopes to move into by late September.
In its search for a larger location, IHOP sought to stay in the city,
she said.
“Everyone on Wall Street is pretty familiar with our corporate office
being in Glendale,” she said.
