Everything you ever wanted to know about PTA is featured at the annual

California State PTA convention, set for April 26-29 at the McEnery

Convention Center in San Jose.

PTA leaders from all over the state come together to attend

conferences that provide information and leadership training that can be

applied to your local unit and community.

Each PTA president has received a convention registration packet

containing registration forms and descriptions of the conferences, so

members interested in attending should contact their local unit as soon

as possible.

“The Vision Continues ...” is the theme for the 102nd annual event. I

urge everyone committed to children to attend.

CLARK MAGNET -- Founders Day, a celebration commemorating the founding

of PTA, is set for 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 8, in the auditeria. The evening

mark your calendars.

CRESCENTA VALLEY -- Honored in the schoolwide Reflections Arts

competition on Dec. 14 were Kelly Callaghan for art and Melody Warner for

literature. The students’ entries continue to the council level, which

interested in joining, please contact Ms. Wallach in the physical

education department.

Principal’s Advisory Committee, will be on hand to serve dessert.

Upcoming in February is an assembly featuring a portrayal of Dr.

Martin Luther King.

school library after school every Thursday from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Before

project, and parents Lisa Heflin and Dana Dabsys designed and painted the

letters.

on white paper is 3 p.m. Wednesday. The class with the highest totals
