Symphony concerts broadcast on KMZT radio

GLENDALE -- With support of the Glendale Community Foundation, the
Glendale Symphony will once again be heard on classical radio station
KMZT-FM (105.1).
The program, consisting of highlights from the symphony’s last season,
will be heard at 8 p.m. Sunday.
With commentary by noted radio personality Gail Eikenthal, the
selections include Mozart’s Overture to Don Giovanni and Linz Symphony.
The program concludes with Brahms’ Symphony No.2. Also on the program are
Maestro Sidney Weiss and violinist Marina Manoukian.
“Being heard by all of Southern California is a wonderful opportunity
for the symphony and we are most pleased by the continued support of the
Glendale Community Foundation,” symphony association President Robert
Bornhoeft said in a prepared statement.
Future concerts will be broadcast on Nov. 18, Feb. 17, and Sept. 1.
The first concert of the 78th continuous season is on Saturday, Sept. 29,
at The Alex Theatre. Season tickets are available through the association
at 500-8720. Single seats ranging from $15 to $55 are available at The
Alex box office, 216 N Brand Blvd. Tickets may also be purchased online
at www.glendalesymphony.org.
