Lego store celebrates ‘Bionicle 2’ release

GLENDALE -- The Lego store at the Glendale Galleria will offer a

children’s event from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday.

Writer Henry Gilroy and Director Terry Shakespeare, from the movie

“Bionicle 2: Legend of Metru Nui,” will sign autographs, and Toa, one

of the movie’s characters, will meet and greet customers.

The store will give away Bionicle posters to promote a one-day

Glendale Adventist opens cancer center

GLENDALE -- The Glendale Adventist Medical Center will celebrate

the grand opening of its new positive image and resource center for

cancer patients from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday.

Visitors will be able to access a variety of specialty

image-enhancement products, including wigs, hats and scarves.

The center is in the Center for Cancer Services at the hospital,
