U.S. Navy Lt. Stephen Staub, the son...

U.S. Navy Lt. Stephen Staub, the son of Jerry Staub of Pasadena, and

Mary Staub-Hoehn of Glendale, graduated from the Uniformed Services

University’s F. Edward Hebert School of Medicine, the nation’s only

federal military medical school.

Staub, who received his doctor of medicine degree, has started his

internship at Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton.

U.S. Navy Lt. Paul Chung, the son of Christopher and Dong Chung of

La Canada Flintridge, graduated from the Uniformed Services

University’s F. Edward Hebert School of Medicine, the nation’s only

federal military medical school.

Chung, who received his doctor of medicine degree, has started his

internship at Naval Hospital San Diego.

Air Force Airman Matthew E. Berbena has graduated from basic

military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio.

Berbena is the son of Linda Necochea of Needles. His aunt, Gigi

Duenas, resides in Glendale.

In 2003, he graduated from Needles High School.

Army Pvt. Letitia C. Adams has graduated from basic combat

training at Fort Jackson in Columbia, S.C.

She is the niece of Adrianne D. Verdugo of Burbank.

Adams is a 1992 graduate of El Monte Rosemead High School in El

Monte.

Navy Lt. Cmdr. Jay D. Wylie has reported to the College of Naval

Command and Staff at the Naval War College in Newport, R.I. At the

college, the student will attend a multidisciplinary program designed

for U.S. Naval and Coast Guard officers in the grade of lieutenant

commander; U.S. Marine Corps, Army and Air Force officers in the

grade of major, and civilians of equivalent seniority from various

federal agencies.

Wylie, a surface warfare officer, is the son of Forrest and

Dorothy Wylie of Glendale.

His wife, Sara, is the daughter of Daniel and Laurie Russell of

San Diego.

He graduated in 1988 from Village Christian Schools in Sun Valley,

Calif., and received a bachelor’s degree in 1992 from USC. He earned

a master’s degree in 1999 from the Joint Military Intelligence

College in Washington, D.C.
