DreamWorks extends contracts, deals
Adam Goodman, head of production for DreamWorks Pictures, extended
his contract term for an additional four years through 2009,
principal David Geffen said in a news release Friday.
Goodman was named head of production in February 2004, after
having served as a production executive since 1996.
He is currently overseeing projects like “Dreamer: Inspired by a
True Story,” starring Kurt Russell and Dakota Fanning; Clint
Eastwood-directed “Flags of Our Fathers,” based on the bestselling
book; “Dreamgirls,” the screen version of the Tony Award-winning
musical, starring Beyonce Knowles, Jamie Foxx and Eddie Murphy; and
“Transformers,” based on the popular Hasbro toy franchise.
Firm acquires Nevada shopping mall
Glendale-based American Realty Advisors acquired the Horizon Town
Center, a 105,134-square-foot neighborhood shopping mall in
Henderson, Nev., the company announced Friday.
The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Horizon has a roster of high-profile tenants including Big 5,
Anna’s Linens, Washington Mutual and IHOP. American plans to execute
a plan which will add an additional 44,711 square feet of retail
space, to promote local job creation.
American provides real estate investment management services
including acquisition, disposition, development, structured finance
and active asset management.
Public Storage raises cash dividend
Public Storage Inc. announced Friday it raised its cash dividend
per regular common share from 45 cents to 50 cents per quarter, an
increase of 11.1%.
The first payment of the new dividend will be made on Sept. 29 to
shareholders of record as of Sept. 15, the company said in a
statement.
