COURLAS—MENDEZ

Elaine C. Courlas, of Ladera Ranch, and Javier Mendez, of Lake Forest, were married at St. Anthony Greek Orthodox Church.

The Rev. Father Peter Stratos officiated.

The couple did the dance of Isaiah, where the priest leads the bride and groom around a wedding table three times as an expression of joy and celebration and Orthodox tradition.

The maid of honor was Jaclyn Rae Koluris and the bridesmaid was Jennifer Fuentes.

The best man was John W. Geranios and the groomsman was Rafael Mendez.

A reception was held at the Hilton Glendale Hotel. Guests danced to a mixture of Greek, salsa and Latin music.

The bride is the daughter of Georgia and George Courlas, of Glendale.

She is a graduate of Chandler Preparatory and Sacred Heart High School and is employed at Carrows Restaurant.

The groom is the son of Margarita Mendez of Puebla, Mexico, and the late Jose Mendez. He is a graduate of Puebla High School and is an orchestra leader.

The couple honeymooned at Walt Disney World.

They have made their home in Ladera Ranch.
