Update: Firefighters knock down blaze in Glendale strip mall
Firefighters knocked down a three-alarm blaze that ripped through the roof of a Glendale strip mall just before noon on Monday.

[UPDATE 12:20 p.m.: The aggressive fire started just before 10 a.m. inside the shopping area in the 600 block of East Glenoaks Boulevard. Firefighters reached knock down about 11:45 a.m.]
The strip mall houses a dry cleaning business, beauty salon, pizza restaurant, floral shop and deli and grocery store.
A portion of Glenoaks is closed as firefighters work to extinguish the blaze.
Public safety officials evacuated homes and buildings adjacent to the strip mall.
No injuries have been reported, according to fire officials. A damage estimate was not immediately available.
