Letter: Thank you to the Glendale Youth Alliance

On Tuesday, May 6, I was the fortunate recipient of the Friend of Youth Award presented by the Glendale Youth Alliance at the 21st Annual Employees of Tomorrow luncheon. My husband and I have been champions of Glendale Youth Alliance for 10 years. Its mission and purpose is a positive force in our great city for which we should all be very proud.
We greatly appreciate the young people involved in the program as their first step into the job force. We want to publicly thank the staff of GYA; Alfred Garciga, Karine Grigoryan, Charles Landis, Tina Osborn and Daniel Gamboa. Each deserves recognition for a job well done! We first met Daniel Gamboa as a teenager in the GYA program and have watched him mature both personally and professionally. GYA gave him an opportunity to advance. Through hard work, he has excelled. It’s this kind of success that we celebrate and applaud. Thank you.
