Good morning, 818! Today is Monday, Dec. 22, 2014. Temperatures for today are expected to reach a high of 76 degrees and a low of 52 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.
In case you missed them, here are some of the headlines from the weekend:
Billed as “America’s first karaoke bar,” Dimples in Burbank will be closing shortly after it hosts its final New Year’s Eve party. The bar, which has been open since 1982, is one of several buildings set to be demolished in order to make room for the Talaria at Burbank project, a 241-unit luxury apartment complex on top of a 43,000-square-foot Whole Foods.
Students at Tobinworld in Glendale performed traditional Christmas songs during the school’s 37th annual Holiday Show.
The Directory of Community Organizations and Special Events for 2014-15, prepared annually by the La Cañada Flintridge Coordinating Council, is now online.
- From the moment you walk into Canele in Glendale and sense the old wood, the crimson walls, the fresh ranunculus, you know this is going to be something special.
