A 35-year-old Glendale man was arrested Saturday after allegedly masturbating in front of a teenager in a La Crescenta neighborhood, and police are now looking for more victims.

The 17-year-old girl called police Saturday afternoon after seeing the man — later identified as Araz Shahbazian — masturbating in a silver Honda CR-V near Buena Vista Avenue and Sunview Drive and looking at her as she walked by, said Glendale Police Sgt. Robert William.

She reportedly took a photo of his license plate and ran. Using that information, police went to Shahbazian’s home on the 600 block of West Milford Street, where he arrived shortly thereafter.

Shahbazian told police he’d been in the La Crescenta neighborhood looking for girls to hit on, and typically, hits on six or seven girls a day, William said. Some of them end up being younger than they initially appear to him, he told police.

According to police, Shahbazian denied masturbating in front of the teenager.

He was arrested on suspicion of annoying or molesting a child and indecent exposure.

Anyone who may have more information on the suspect is asked to call Glendale police at (818) 548-4911.
