Two people hospitalized after fire breaks out at a Glendale apartment
Two people were taken to a local hospital Sunday after a fire broke out in an apartment in Glendale and spread into a neighboring unit.
At 5:43 a.m., the Glendale Fire Department responded to a fire in an apartment building at 1344 North Columbus Avenue, according to Glendale fire spokeswoman Brandy Villanueva.
When crews arrived, they found smoke coming from the front of the two-story complex. They later found that the blaze was located at the rear of a second-floor apartment, and it had started to extend into another unit, Villanueva said.
