Three lanes of 60 Freeway reopen after person killed by big-rig
Three lanes of the 60 Freeway reopened Monday morning, hours after a person was fatally struck by a semi-truck in eastern Los Angeles County.
Few details were immediately available about the incident, which was reported on the freeway’s eastbound lanes at Rosemead Boulevard about 4:35 a.m., but CHP Officer Monica Posada confirmed there was a fatality.
The incident initially shut down all eastbound lanes, backing up traffic, but only the right lane remained closed by about 6:30 a.m.
Investigators, including the county coroner’s office, remained on scene.
No information was immediately available about the victim.
