La Cañada Crime: Burglary suspects allegedly had meth pipe and Vicodin

Oct. 12-13
Vandalism: 5000 block of Princess Anne Road, before 6:30 a.m. on Oct. 13. Several eggs were thrown at a house, breaking a glass panel on a door.
Grand theft: 1000 block of White Deer Drive, before 7 a.m. on Oct. 13. Several tennis rackets and tennis racket bags were stolen from an unlocked vehicle.
Petty theft: 1200 block of Journeys End Drive, before 11 a.m. on Oct. 13. A folder containing vehicle registration and proof of insurance was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.
Oct. 10
Petty theft: 700 block of Foothill Boulevard, at 9:20 p.m. An undisclosed amount of money was stolen from the counter next to a register of a business. A male with brown hair, about 6 feet tall and 200 pounds, was seen in a surveillance video taking the money, according to a report from the sheriff’s station.
Oct. 8
Possession of a controlled substance, drug paraphernalia, burglary tools: El Camino Corto Street and Foothill Boulevard, 9 a.m. A 38-year-old Van Nuys man and a 35-year-old Los Angeles man were arrested for suspicion of being in the area to commit a burglary. The suspects were found in possession of burglary tools and Vicodin, along with a meth pipe and other items.
Vandalism: 600 block of Foothill Boulevard, between 11:15 and 11:20 p.m. Front bumper of vehicle damaged. The owner of the vehicle believes a customer at the business they work at damaged the vehicle.

Oct. 10
Grand theft: 2900 block of Fairmount Avenue, before 7 a.m. on Oct. 10. A leather diaper bag, a wallet containing four credit cards, sunglasses and other items were stolen from an unlocked vehicle.
Oct. 9
Vandalism: 2900 block of Community Avenue, between 7 and 9:25 a.m. “Smoke Herb” scratched into a mirror in a girls’ restroom of a Glendale Unified campus.
Oct. 8
Grand theft: 2200 block of Foothill Boulevard, between 7:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. Tailgate stolen from a Toyota Tacoma truck.
Oct. 7
Identity theft: 2800 block of Henrietta Avenue, 1 p.m. A person fraudulently opened two joint checking accounts using the name and personal information of a resident. Withdrawals from the checking account were made at a bank branch in La Crescenta.
