James Fisher

James Robert Fisher, 54, peacefully left this life after a short illness, on Friday, May 27. in Williamsburg, Virginia,. Jim was born in Nyack, New York on Aug. 26, 1950, the son of Margaret Fisher and the late Robert James Fisher.

Jim and his wife Dee have lived in La Cañada-Flintridge for the past 20 years. He practiced law in Pasadena for the past 25 years and was active in the Pasadena Bar Association. Jim will be remembered for his participation in the Big Brothers Program, and Hillsides Home for Children. Most recently he was a member of the organizing committee for the 2nd. Lt. Andrew Torres Golf Tournament held at the La Cañada Country Club. The proceeds went to strategic cancer research at Huntington Medical Research Institutes in Pasadena.

He is survived by his loving wife Dee, mother Margaret Fisher of Williamsburg, Virginia, sister Jane Hansen and husband Ray and their two daughters, Lara and Amy, and sister Amy Smith and husband Dave and their daughter Megan and son Matt.

A service of remembrance and celebration of his life will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, June 26, at the La Cañada Thursday Club, 4440 Woodleigh Lane, La Cañada Flintridge.

The family wishes to thank the many who sent special messages and offered their prayers during Jim’s sudden and brief illness.
