Steve McGrew Headlines Ice House “Battle of the Sexes”

Steve “Mudflap” McGrew brings his Southern drawl and exceptionally funny stand-up routine to The Ice House as part of the “Battle of the Sexes” from June 29-July 1. McGrew will be joined by a different female comedian each night. The weekend will also feature a giveaway of the “Best of 2006” CD featuring comedy segments from 10 of the best Ice House comics. Everyone in attendance at McGrew’s shows will receive a copy of the limited edition CD.

McGrew’s observational humor about life in the South, his ex-wives and “old school” techniques for child-rearing will make you cry from laughter. Known as the “Equal Opportunity Offender,” McGrew tackles all subjects with hilarity and irreverence. McGrew been featured on MTV, VH-1, TNN, Star Search and was in the cable ACE award-winning Showtime’s Full Frontal Comedy. He’s also appeared on several Comedy Central shows including Premium Blend, Shorties Watchin’ Shorties.

The ladies in the “Battle of the Sexes” prize fight include Last Comic Standing’s Nikki Payne on Thursday, June 29. Payne is also a two-time winner of the Canadian Comedy Award for Best Female Stand-Up. Friday night’s opponent is TBA. The “Battle” will conclude on Saturday night, July 1, as McGrew is joined by Star Search finalist and frequent VH-1 and Comedy Central guest Loni Love.
