Extreme Boot Camp Opens Three New Locations

Extreme Boot Camp began franchising in January 2007 with their first grand opening in Santa Clarita. Now, they are pleased to report that since then they have expanded to seven franchises, with the newest locations in Santa Monica, Toluca Lake, and Monrovia.

Extreme Boot Camp is the only outdoor military style fitness program that has obtained their license to franchise.

“It is so exciting to see the many cities that are welcoming us,” said founder and owner Linda Taix. “It has obviously made a difference in peoples’ lives in creating a positive change. I feel optimistic by franchising; the sky truly is the limit.”

Extreme Boot Camp started out with one location in 2002 with only one class consisting of seven boot campers. It now has six classes totaling 250 boot campers, just in the La Cañada location alone.

The excitement extends beyond the campers. Tustin Ranch franchisee Tracy Zimmerman proudly announced in front of her boot campers at their graduation breakfast, “It’s the best job I’ve ever had.” Now starting her second session, Zimmerman’s class sizes have doubled.

“My plan in the near future is to expand the franchise to nearby counties,” said Taix. “Then after that, my goal is to expand out of the state. We have received many calls regarding our franchising opportunities, but I have been reluctant because I wanted to nurture the home base before a major expansion.”

Jason Kerry is the firm’s franchising assistant who focuses on helping each of the new franchises administratively and continues to support them. Brent Pattison is the field representative who travels from location to location and consults with the trainers and management teams. Roy Hayes is the camp’s in-house graphic artist who designs ads for the franchisees and headquarters.

As Extreme Boot Camp solidifies its base in Southern California, they will begin to expand outward.

“Our goal is to provide a personal touch for each new franchise,” said Taix.
