Voss new mayor of La Cañada Flintridge

Fellow council members unanimously elected Donald Voss mayor of La Cañada Flintridge Monday.

Voss, who previously served as mayor pro tem, replaces Laura Olhasso. Olhasso’s one-year term was arguably the most challenging in the history of the city, marked by a fatal traffic accident, the devastating Station fire and ongoing debris flows. She remains on the council.

Voss, who previously worked as a commercial banker with First Interstate Bank and Wells Fargo, served as city treasurer for five years before being seated on the city council in December 2006.

“Laura just did a marvelous job, and I am very honored to be doing this,” Voss said. “To the extent I have any success as mayor it will be due in large part to the remarkable performance of my predecessors.”

Councilman Greg Brown was elected mayor pro tem.
