La Cañada Crime: 51-year-old arrested for possession of methamphetamine and lithium pills

Oct. 20-21
Burglary: 4200 block of Woodleigh Lane, before 5 p.m. on Oct. 21. Baseball equipment and two pairs of sunglasses were stolen from a vehicle.
Oct. 20
Vandalism: 4100 block of Commonwealth Avenue, between 7:30 a.m. and 12 p.m. A custom-designed mailbox was found broken.
Oct. 15-16
Burglary: 1000 block of Foothill Boulevard, before 9 a.m. on Oct. 16. Grooming scissors, clippers, dog leashes and other items were stolen from a pet store.
Oct. 14
Petty theft: 4400 block of Chevy Chase Drive, 3:30 p.m. A leather purse, leather wallet, keys and a cellphone were stolen from an unlocked vehicle. The wallet contained an undisclosed amount of cash, a driver’s license and a checkbook.
Sept. 29-Oct. 2
Identity theft: 1300 block of Verdugo Boulevard. Unauthorized purchases were made on a resident’s credit account.

Oct. 17-18
Burglary: 2900 block of Community Avenue, before 10:25 a.m. on Oct. 18. Two sweat shirts were stolen from a student’s locker.
Oct. 15
Vandalism: 2900 block of Community Avenue, between 7 and 11:10 a.m. A profane statement was written in marker on a plastic toilet paper seat cover in a girls restroom.
Oct. 14
Drug possession: 3400 block of Altura Avenue, 1:49 a.m. A 51-year-old transient was arrested after authorities found him in possession of methamphetamine, concentrated cannabis, lithium pills and a meth pipe.
Oct. 18-19
Burglary: 2300 block of Barton Road, before 12 p.m. on Oct. 19. Belongings in a garage were rummaged. Pry marks were found on a door.
