I hope that everyone is doing as best as possible during these unprecedented times. It is an honor for me to serve as mayor for the coming year. I want to thank Len Pieroni for his outstanding job he did as mayor and for his service to the community. I also want to recognize Greg Brown for his leadership on the City Council over the last three years. Both of you will be missed.

I, along with Mayor Pro Tem Jon Curtis and Councilwoman Terry Walker, want to welcome our new council members Keith Eich and Rick Gunter. Everyone is looking forward to working together for the betterment of our community.

The events we are all experiencing over these last few months will have lasting impacts on our community as well as the entire country. Please know that the City Council and city staff are working very hard to keep La Cañada Flintridge running while addressing the issues associated with the coronavirus pandemic. We continue to work closely with our other government partners including the county and the state.

We will continue to update our residents and business as events develop. Please visit the city website at cityoflcf.org for the latest information.

The LCF Chamber of Commerce is doing a great job providing resources and informing the entire community about local businesses that are currently open and their hours of operation. Please visit their website at lacanadaflintridge.com.

We are in constant communication with the La Cañada Unified School District as well as our private educational institutions to help offer support and guidance.

The city is also reaching out to its local hospitals and regional medical centers to offer support and services where possible. The impacts and interruptions in our daily lives and livelihoods will be with us for some time. The city is working to preserve our great reputation as La Cañada Flintridge being a great place to live and work.

Wishing you the best of health.

Michael Davitt
