‘Water is Life’ art contest open to La Cañada Flintridge students
The Foothill Municipal Water District is seeking student artists wishing to compete in its fifth annual K-12 “Water is Life” student art contest, a project designed to inspire creativity while fostering a sense of stewardship for precious water resources.
The contest is open to all K-12 students attending schools within the district’s service area, including La Cañada Flintridge.

Art must be submitted by April 1 on 12-inch by 18-inch white poster board or drawing paper with 1 inch of blank space or white area on all four sides of the artwork. Entrants may use crayons, markers, pencils, paints, watercolors, pastels, cut paper or fabric. Photography or computer-generated artwork is not permitted.
This year’s contestants will be judged in one of three categories — grades K-5, grades 6-8 and grades 9-12. The grand prize for each winner in each category is $150 per student, with a $100 gift card for the sponsoring teacher.
