Clippers’ Matt Barnes to host basketball camp in Pacific Palisades

Clippers small forward Matt Barnes will host a youth basketball camp Aug. 7-9 at Palisades Charter High School. The camp is available to children ages 6-14, and early registration is $250 per camper.

In Barnes’ third season with the Clippers, he averaged 10.1 points on 44.4% shooting from the field in 29.9 minutes a game. The Clippers made it past the defending champion San Antonio Spurs in the first round of this season’s playoffs, then were eliminated by the Houston Rockets in Game 7 of the second round.

Barnes, a 13-year NBA veteran, went to UCLA and played for the Lakers in the 2010-11 and 2011-12 seasons. He has played for the Clippers since then.

He has a career average of 8.1 points on 44.8% shooting in 23.1 minutes a game.
