Clippers vs. Utah Jazz preview
In the first stop of an eight-game road trip, the Clippers, who have won five in a row, are set to play the Utah Jazz in Salt Lake City on Wednesday.
The Jazz have lost three of their last five games.
The Clippers are 11-7 on the road, and have won each of their three road games in January. When the Clippers win away from their home court, they typically win big: They’re averaging a 13.7-point road-win margin, the best in the NBA.
The Clippers have won their last 12 games against the Utah Jazz, most recently a 101-97 victory at Staples Center on Dec. 29. In that game, the Clippers outshot the Jazz from the field, 46%-41%, as Blake Griffin finished with 24 points, seven assists and six rebounds.
The Clippers (31-14) are in fourth place in the Western Conference, 15 games ahead of the Jazz (16-29).
After playing the Jazz, the Clippers are scheduled to play at New Orleans, San Antonio, Brooklyn, Cleveland, Toronto, Oklahoma City and Dallas.
