Don Mattingly interviewing with Marlins, report says
Former Dodgers Manager Don Mattingly could soon be landing his next job.
Mattingly will interview Monday with the Miami Marlins for their vacant managerial position, according to Joe Frisaro, who covers the team for MLB.com.
Mattingly has been described as the front runner for the position by multiple national media outlets. Mattingly is said to be a favorite of Marlins owner Jeffrey Loria, a New York native.
How this unfolds could have a financial impact on the Dodgers, however minimal.

When the Dodgers and Mattingly “mutually agreed” to part ways – whatever that means – the team agreed to pay the manager his salary for the upcoming season.
But if Mattingly finds work elsewhere, whatever salary he draws from his new employer would offset what he is owed by the Dodgers.
