Jim Calhoun’s five-year deal with UConn, retroactive to last season, is worth $13 million over five years, $2.6 million a year.

Salaries for coaches at private universities are typically not made public because they are not subject to state open records laws.

According to Forbes, Duke’s Mike Krzyzewski earned $2.2 million in 2008-09, but his contract is not included in the list due to questions regarding its length and total worth.

Other prominent men’s basketball coaches who may have similar contracts include Georgetown‘s John Thompson III and Syracuse’s Jim Boeheim.
