Baseball: Nick Pratto strikes out eight for USA 18U team
Pitcher Nick Pratto from Huntington Beach struck out eight in eight innings to lead the USA 18U national team to an 11-1 win over Australia in pool play of the WBSC U-18 World Cup in Japan.
Pratto, a USC commit, allowed just two hits. He also contributed two hits at the plate.
Blake Rutherford from Chaminade had two RBIs.
USA continues play on Tuesday against Brazil.
