Boys’ basketball: Alemany, Corona Centennial advance in Fairfax tournament
Alemany and Corona Centennial each won quarterfinal games on Thursday night in the Fairfax tournament to advance to Friday’s semifiinals.
Alemany knocked off Mater Dei, 74-59, behind Daron Henson, who scored 25 points.
Centennial defeated Fairfax, 78-61. Jordan Griffin scored 21 points. Lindsey Drew led Fairfax with 20 points.
In the consolation bracket, Brentwood defeated Santa Monica, 58-44. Crespi defeated La Canada, 59-58.
