Boys’ basketball: Bennie Boatwright is off to strong start for Village Christian
Junior forward Bennie Boatwright of Sun Valley Village Christian set a school record on Wednesday when he made eight three-pointers in the Crusaders’ 91-34 win over Fulton College Prep. He finished with 30 points.
Boatwright is at his third school in three years, having played at Alemany last season and Oaks Christian as a freshman.
Village Chrisitan is 3-0 and plays in the championship game of the Burbank tournament.
The Crusaders face Santa Ana Mater Dei on Jan. 31.
