Boys’ basketball: Oaks Christian is creating full-time director of basketball
Oaks Christian has decided to create a full-time position for its basketball program, director of basketball operations.
That person hired will not only be the head varsity coach but also develop the middle school program.
Richard Hill, who was the varsity coach last season, will not be returning, Athletic Director Jan Hethcock said Friday.
Hill spent one season as coach.
A leading candidate to take over the program is Robert Icart, a former coach at Valley Torah and founder of the Basketball Training Institute that offers private coaching.
