Cross country: Bell-Jeff Invitational set for Saturday
The 42nd Bell-Jeff Cross Country Invitational will take place on Saturday beginning at 8 a.m. at Griffith Park.
Jim Couch, the Bell-Jeff cross country coach, founded the event to give small schools a chance to compete. It has grown into a huge event.
There will be close to 3,000 runners in 17 races.
There also will be a 5K open race at 7 a.m. for anyone to participate in.
