Football: Four interceptions hurt Vista Murrieta in loss to Del Oro
Turnovers are not good for any football team, and Vista Murrieta was unable to overcome four interceptions in a 22-15 loss to Loomis De Oro on Saturday night.
The last interception, a 55-yard touchdown retun by Trey Udoffia, his third touchdown of the night, broke a 15-15 deadlock in the final minute.
Kyle Willimas rushed for 199 yards and two touchdowns for Vista Murrieta (1-1).
Sierra Canyon improved to 3-0 with a 38-19 win over Taft. Niko Harris passed 208 yards. Washington-bound Isaiah Refro caught six passes for 128 yards and one touchdown. Kaizer Butler rushed for 134 yards in 12 carries.
Taft’s Chris Duncan passed for 271 yards and two touchdowns with three interceptions.
Correction: An earlier version of this blog incorrectly reported that Kyle Wilson rushed for 199 yards. It was Kyle Williams.
