Football: Jamaal Neal of South Gate is Eastern League player of the year
South Gate receiver lost his father and mother, but remains determined to succeed.
Standout senior receiver Jamaal Neal of South Gate has been named player of the year in the Eastern League.
The offensive player of the year was Frank Serpas of Bell. Th defensive player of the year was Carlos Nunez of Garfield. The offensive lineman of the year was Jesus Lara of Garfield. The defensive lineman of the year was Danny Martinez of South Gate.
