The Los Angeles Unified School District has canceled all outdoor activities for Thursday, including JV football games, because of excessive heat, according to Trent Cornelius, the district’s sports coordinator.
It is the first time this school year that has happened.
Several schools are trying to reschedule games for Saturday.
Also the LAUSD has announced that no outside activities for Friday will begin before 5 p.m., which means the Crenshaw at Hamilton game scheduled for 3 p.m. has been postponed. Hamilton doesn’t have lights. There’s a possibility of the game being changed to Crenshaw. Stay tuned.
The Arleta-Roosevelt day game has been changed to 7 p.m. at Monroe.
