Football; St. Francis is in the mix to move up in re-vote
La Canada St. Francis had better do lots of lobbying if it wants to avoid being moved up to a Pac-5 Division league in football.
The Catholic Athletic Association is scheduled to meet on Tuesday to take another vote on new leagues after Salesian won its appeal from the Southern Section Executive Committee this past week.
The deadline to submit proposals is Saturday afternoon, and three of the four proposals already submitted have St. Francis moving from the Mission League to one of the two four-team Pac-5 leagues.
If St. Francis is moved up, then expect the Golden Knights to appeal to the full Southern Section Council on April 30.
