Girls’ basketball: School-record 42 points for Katie Lou Samuelson
Katie Lou Samuelson scored 42 points on Friday night for Santa Mater Dei. That’s a school record.
The Monarchs cruised to a 99-73 victory over Palisades in an opening game of the Southern California Regionals Open Division playoff game.
Samuelson was named earlier this week was the Gatorade state player of the year.
