Ladell Atkins making impact at El Camino Real in two sports
Ladell Atkins, a junior running back at El Camino Real who transferred from St. Bonaventure, is earning respect in two sports for the Conquistadores.
Last week against Taft, he rushed for 395 yards and scored four touchdowns.
In baseball, he’s expected to be a contributor for the defending City Section Division I champions based on what Coach Josh Lienhard has seen in the batting cage. Atkins and starting quarterback Wes Crockett both intend to play baseball for the Conquistadores. Crockett also attended St. Bonaventure.
“They are pretty impressive in the cage,” Lienhard said.
